In a bizarre partnership that challenges usual forecasts, the game developer has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Revealed

According to the formal release, "A strange meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of banned rituals and monstrous changes reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden group.

The mission focuses on "strange tests and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Changes

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Bonus Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an exclusive katana together with multiple items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Titan-inspired costume for Yasuke
• Mikasa outfit for Naoe
• Special implements
• Survey Corps steed

Newest Free Story Addition

This patch also adds the game's newest no-cost story episode, titled "The Enigma."
