I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
